Job description
We are seeking an experienced Civils Planner to join our client’s Regional Scotland team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a significant pipeline of high-profile civil engineering projects across Scotland’s Central Belt.
As a Planner, you will be a pivotal member of the project team, ensuring effective planning and programming throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with stakeholders, utilising your civil construction experience to drive project success.
Strong operational experience in civil engineering or construction projects (site engineer/site agent is preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules aligned with planning standards and contractual requirements.
- Collaborating with operational teams to define construction methods, sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and constraints to proactively optimize project delivery.
- Producing and presenting planning deliverables, including detailed programmes, reports, and progress updates.
- Interfacing with third parties to resolve planning and scheduling issues.
- Supporting lean visual planning to enhance productivity, performance, and safety.
Skills & experience:
- Strong operational experience in civil engineering or construction projects (a background as a site engineer or site agent is preferred).
- Proficiency in planning tools and techniques, with a solid understanding of construction methods and resource planning.
- Expertise in tender and contract documentation, programming, and progress monitoring.
- Knowledge of risk and opportunity management in a planning context.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to motivate and engage cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications, including a valid CSCS card.
