Job description

We are currently seeking a Project / Process Engineer I based in Freeport, TX. This exciting opportunity involves both office and plant work, reporting directly to the Technical Superintendent. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the production unit, troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions.
  • Continuously improve process capability, production volume, and quality standards.
  • Own cycle time data accuracy and work on improvements.
  • Perform investigations, trial production runs, and process optimizations.
  • Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are met.
  • Lead continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to boost throughput and employee engagement.
  • Assist with design reviews, PHAs, and manage product setups and scale-ups from R&D and marketing.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with engineering codes, standards, and company policies.
  • Participate in safety and environmental compliance efforts, ensuring all new projects meet requirements.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives and oversee capital budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a technical role in a chemical plant environment.
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this opportunity.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Batch Chemical Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization (PowerBI), and maintenance planning systems (SAP).
