Project Delivery Manager - EV Charging
Location: London, UK
About the Role:
We're seeking a talented Project Delivery Manager to join our client one of the world's largest international energy companies working in patnership with one of the UK's largest utility companies to deliver EV charging infrastructure. You'll play a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of our EV charging network across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from site identification to commissioning.
Site Selection and Feasibility: Assist in selecting optimal sites and conducting power feasibility checks.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, Principal Contractors, Principal Designers, ICPs, DNOs, IDNOs, local authorities, and clients.
Contractor Management: Effectively manage contractors to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Budget and Cost Management: Manage project budgets, allocate costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Health and Safety: Prioritize health and safety by implementing RAMS, CPPs, conducting audits, and addressing near-misses.
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans and contribute to tender submissions.
Permit Acquisition: Secure necessary permits from local authorities, such as Section 50s and parking permits.
Stock Management: Manage stock levels, allocate equipment to projects, and replenish consumables.
Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality installations and maintain accurate project records.
Candidate Profile:
Engineering degree (preferred)
Health and Safety management experience
Proven project management skills
Civil or electrical engineering background
Experience in on-street furniture installation and operation
DC installation expertise
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with government and local authorities
Proficiency in Office Suite and MS Project
Experience in EV charging and DNO/IDNO interactions (advantageous)
Understanding of CDM regulations
Familiarity with NEC4 contracts
