The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
Demand Planning/ Concept/Strategy Development
- Review annual business plan to understand forward demand and document key findings, priorities and assumptions from spend and contracts.
- Analyse the Rigs, Wells and Exploration (RWE) business landscape, spend by sub-category and supplier to feed into category strategy and identify value optimisation opportunities.
- Develop contract strategies and tender go-to-market plans for complex RWE contracts.
Contracting/Sourcing/ Tendering
- Responsible for the management of all C&P activities undertaken by the RWE team, including guidance, approvals (subject to DOA) and stakeholder management.
- Develop and execute complex (high value and/or high risk) RWE tenders, this includes tender requests, tender evaluation and negotiations.
- Drive the incorporation of Local Content in all activities, including all sourcing events and ensure that all contracts meet Tullow Local Content requirements.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Drive complex RWE contracts management with the C&P team and end users to ensure that suppliers deliver their performance obligations and comply with the terms and conditions of the contracts.
- Drive supplier relationship management with key strategic suppliers. Collaborate with and develop suppliers to create sustainable long-term relationships where applicable.
- Identify opportunities to create synergies across the business to obtain increased value from the overall Procurement contract portfolio.
Leadership/ People Management
- Lead RWE team in all aspects of C&P activity and be focal point for wells and exploration functions with regards to C&P requirements.
- Manage RWE category strategy and oversee all contracting requirements, tenders, negotiations and contract management.
- Lead the implementation of capability development initiatives to improve procurement outcomes by establishing and maintaining an efficient, lean and agile procurement team.
Degree level qualification (preference for additional SCM related qualification, eg. CIPS, MBA)
- Proven management experience;
- Proven stakeholder management experience;
- Proven experience of tendering and negotiating complex contracts;
- Proven experience of post award contract management on high value complex contracts;
- Proven experience in upstream oil and gas industry;
- Very good understanding of significant legal and commercial issues within supply chain;
- International exposure (eg. Africa) within an Oil and Gas contracts and procurement environment.
