Job description
Exciting opportunity to join a leading Energy Company specialising in the design and development of long-duration energy storage solutions for utility and distributed power systems. This role involves working on a milestone project in the North-West, just outside of Manchester, focused on a new Renewable Energy Storage Power Station.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring the progress of this innovative project. They should be well-practiced in delivering a full planning function for all phases of the project, including engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up activities for large-scale engineering construction projects.
The Role:
* Input into developing project control planning and progress measurement procedures.
* Build and maintain project schedules (level 1-4) using WBS coding and logic.
* Integrate schedules from contractors and vendors involved in the construction and commissioning.
* Establish and agree the baseline resourced schedule to establish site staffing profiles.
* Reporting of critical paths and risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the project remains on schedule.
* Provide input into the progress reports and updates to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing potential planning concerns.
Required Experience:
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
* Proven experience as a project planner, within the energy industry, with some experience based at site.
* Proficient in project scheduling software, Primavera P6.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
