Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
West Sacramento, CA - Would prefer the person to be onsite / possible hybrid
1 year initial contract
Hourly Pay Rate: $44-47/hr (benefits available at a cost)
Orion Group is seeking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work in our global medical device manufacturer client's West Sacramento, CA headquarters.
The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer designs, documents and executes standards, methods, procedures, and training to adequately confirm that suppliers, raw materials, processes, and products meet established company and regulatory standards.
* May be responsible for supplier selection and auditing, material qualification, material inspection and test, performance monitoring and supplier development.
* May manage process and product non-conformances in line with company procedures.
* May conduct quality assurance tests to ensure product specifications are met.
* May review, investigate, resolve, and report on quality discrepancies.
* May develop, maintain, monitor, and audit quality management system and protocols including systems automation, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
* May monitor, investigate, and report on customer complaints.
* May obtain the necessary quality system certifications and licenses (e.g. ISO, CE) to support market release of new product development.
* May co-ordinate Quality Management Review and may act as Management Representative.
* May lead audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors throughout all stages of the audits.
* May have frequent interaction with manufacturing and engineering, in addition to other functional areas and operating entities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required + 3 yrs relevant experience, preferably in a regulated industry
