Our client has a current opportunity for a Sustainability Coordinator - Carbon to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Invergordon.
As Sustainability Coordinator - Carbon, you will support the Sustainability Lead and Quality and Environment Manager to provide hands on and practical sustainability support to deliver the business's 5-year strategy pillar "Working for our Sustainable future" and Sustainability goals that includes the 2030 Carbon Neutral Objective.
Duties and responsibilities
To accurately gather and maintain sustainability data across all functions of the business.
To actively participate in delivering our Carbon Neutral objective and to assist in supporting water stewardship of the ecosystems surrounding our operational facilities.
Work effectively alongside the Packaging Sustainability Coordinator to support in delivering against all company sustainability goals.
Collect carbon tracking data and maintain trackers.
Identify and help implement opportunities to install sustainable green energy solutions by site to ensure Green Print targets are met.
Develop energy maps to gain understanding of energy saving opportunities and where waste energy can be re-used.
Skills and experience
A strong understanding in environment, sustainability and energy efficiency.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
Basic knowledge of Environment and Sustainability regulations and initiatives.
Qualification in a relevant subject is desirable.
Understanding of distilleries or other energy intensive industries would be advantageous.
