Are you a skilled Technical Writer with a passion for documenting complex processes? Do you have experience in the petrochemical industry and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Our client, a leading energy organisation is looking for a dedicated Technical Writer to join their LNG corporate office in downtown Vancouver, BC.
As a Technical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, preparing, and maintaining operations and maintenance procedures, as well as managing system information related to the LNG project. Your contributions will directly support the team during the construction phase and into operations, ensuring that all technical documentation accurately reflects evolving operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Operations and Maintenance documentation that supports both technical and non-technical divisions within the Operations and Maintenance Teams.
- File documentation according to the client’s LNG management system and documentation standards.
- Provide coaching and training to Operations and Maintenance staff on technical writing best practices and standards.
- Review and proofread draft technical documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance staff to create content using an electronic procedure writing tool.
- Demonstrate 100% compliance with company HSE policies and safety standards.
- Ensure that all documentation supports safe work practices and procedures.
- University degree or equivalent studies (vocational qualifications are an asset).
- 2-4 years of technical writing experience, with at least 5 years in an industrial/engineering environment (preferably in the petrochemical industry).
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Experience working in large, multi-disciplinary teams in a multicultural environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Strong team player with the ability to contribute to company-level goals.
- A valid driver’s license and passport.
