Field Engineer

Location: Site, Buliisa, Uganda

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major construction and engineering project in a unique and sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, coordinate, and control field engineering activities performed by contractors.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, applicable codes, and standards.
• Provide technical support for construction and pre-commissioning activities.
• Liaise with engineering teams to resolve field engineering issues effectively.
• Oversee site modifications, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to the Management of Change procedure.
• Support the commissioning team during preparation and execution.
• Address contractor technical queries to avoid project delays.
• Maintain quality standards and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
• Regularly report project progress and highlight any challenges to the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ engineering experience in the Oil & Gas or a similar industry.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas production equipment, processes, and utility systems.
• Proven track record in construction site supervision and team coordination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and ability to handle dynamic work conditions.
• Fluent in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid medical certificate as per company standards.
