Location: Paris Area, France (with missions to Hamburg/Berlin, Germany)
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Renewable)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Procurement Engineer to support major offshore wind projects in Germany. This position focuses on contracts engineering, procurement, and administration for projects including N-12.1, N-11.2, and O-2.2. We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Procurement Engineer to support major offshore wind projects in Germany. This position focuses on contracts engineering, procurement, and administration for projects including N-12.1, N-11.2, and O-2.2. Key Responsibilities:
1. Contracts Engineering & Procurement
- Support contract activities for all project packages, including strategy implementation and compliance with procurement procedures.
- Develop contract documents for various project phases and ensure alignment with financial governance.
- Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to refine scope specifications and identify value creation opportunities.
- Manage the complete tender process, including prequalification, tender preparation, evaluation, and bid recommendation.
- Validate contracts, ensure partner approvals, and coordinate contractual interfaces for potential lease areas.
- Conduct market intelligence and due diligence activities, including supplier compliance reviews and risk assessments.
- Manage confidentiality agreements and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Liaise with project and headquarters procurement teams to streamline contract administration.
- Contribute to the refinement of contracting strategies (e.g., EPCI vs. multi-contracting).
- Support CAPEX and OPEX estimations for the project.
- Provide feedback to improve processes and monitor KPIs to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in change order management, contractual amendments, and claims resolution.
- Utilize procurement tools such as Ariba, ERP (MBC), and other systems.
- Participate in vendor creation and purchase order processes.
- Deliver training sessions on procurement tools and processes for end-users.
- Experience:
- Strong expertise in Contracts & Procurement, with proven experience in contract administration and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with international tendering, market analysis, and contractual standards (e.g., NEC, FIDIC).
- Expertise in the energy sector, specifically offshore wind projects, is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in procurement software (Ariba, ERP) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of procurement standards, regulations, and project reporting tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse international teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Languages:
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and/or German is an advantage.
