Job description
Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for an Associate Supply Chain Returns for our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client based in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with a high possibility of extension. This is a hybrid position, where you have to be onsite every day during training and afterwards this goes to 2 times per week.
Accountabilities
- Ensures that all returned Finished Drug Products (FDP) are processed within the agreed timelines and in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinates reverse flow process with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Customer Success, GTE, Lab/WH sites, carriers). From the transport booking notification until the physical receipt of the returned goods at the warehouses of our client.
- Supports business and system improvements.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for issues related to carrier transport returns and issue resolution.

Main Responsibilities of the role
- Monitors and coordinates the return of Finished Drug Products (FDP) to our clients' sites, CMO or LSP locations. Including re-calls.
- Maintains and manages metrics and dashboards related to returns under the GSHE scope.
- Ensures all relevant Supply Chain activities comply with applicable regulations, including GDP, GMP, and SOX.
- Participates in our clients' internal and external audits as needed.
- Presents the return metrics and dashboard during monthly meetings with various stakeholders or whenever necessary.
- During the TSP MBR, provide feedback to the transportation team regarding return complaints and follow up on the outcomes discussed during the meetings.
- Coordinates with related stakeholders daily to ensure timely completion of required actions from the reverse logistics tracking tool's exception list.
- Represent GSHE in cross-functional teams, identify and enhance processes and systems for optimal efficiency and productivity. Departments or assignments guide work.
- Identifies potential issues and drives continuous improvement to increase effectiveness and efficiency within processes.
- Updates and maintenance of GxP-controlled documents.
- Other duties may be assigned to you as required.
Required Qualifications and skills
- Master's or bachelor's degree with two years of Supply Chain experience in a GMP and/or GDP-regulated industry.
- Preferably 3+ yrs' relevant experience in the biotech/pharma industry & strong understanding of supply chain, order-to-invoicing & international trade.
- Advanced understanding of GMP regulations, GDP guidelines, and SOX regulations.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Ability to multitask and work with a diverse, international group.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Computer skills and ERP experience.
- Experience with issue handling in a logistic environment.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Proactive self-starter who can manage workload and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lead and execute process improvements effectively.
- Proficiency in the English language is required for both written and oral communication.
- Ensure quality.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Analyzes a problem by gathering and understanding all relevant information.
- Able to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously, especially in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
