Job Title: Commissioning Electrical Lead
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Electrical Lead to manage electrical commissioning activities for the large Expansion Project (offshore). Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will ensure electrical systems are commissioned safely, on schedule, and within scope during the preparation and execution phases of the project.

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Electrical Lead to manage electrical commissioning activities for the large Expansion Project (offshore). Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will ensure electrical systems are commissioned safely, on schedule, and within scope during the preparation and execution phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety requirements, especially during SIMOPS.
- Monitor contractors’ electrical commissioning efforts, ensuring compliance with the OPERCOM® methodology and use of the ICAPS system.
- Manage electrical commissioning for onshore and offshore sites, prioritizing onshore activities to optimize schedules.
- Oversee vendor activities during SAT, punchlist clearance, and OTP.
- Act as the primary point of contact for electrical commissioning, driving system completion and managing the system completion database.
- Review and approve commissioning execution plans from contractors, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with construction, hook-up, and completion teams to ensure seamless site activities.
- Evaluate commissioning changes, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with the MOC procedure.
- Mentor trainees and maintain a register of lessons learned to improve future projects.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least experience in commissioning major projects.
- Extensive experience with commissioning key electrical equipment such as UPS, HV and LV switchgear, VSR, power distribution, HVAC, subsea cables, and transformers.
- Familiar with LOTO procedures, electrical codes, and industry standards.
- Experience in offshore commissioning, handling EPC contractors and vendors.
- Knowledge of ICAPS system and OPERCOM methodology.
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and protection systems.
- Strong problem-solving, supervisory, and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with ATEX/IEC regulations.
- Ensure all activities comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards.
