Job Title: Commissioning Control System & Instrumentation Lead

Location: Doha, Qatar

We are looking for a skilled Commissioning Control System & Instrumentation (ICSS) Lead to join the an Expansion Project offshore team. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will manage ICSS commissioning activities during the project’s preparation and execution stages, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee ICSS commissioning activities offshore and onshore, focusing on timely and safe execution, particularly during SIMOPS.
  • Monitor and guide contractors to ensure compliance with commissioning methodologies and the use of the ICAPS system.
  • Manage electrical commissioning, prioritizing onshore activities to optimize schedule efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ICS Cybersecurity requirements during commissioning.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary spare parts and tools for ICSS commissioning.
  • Oversee vendor activities, including SAT, punchlist clearance, and OTP.
  • Serve as the central point for all ICSS commissioning activities, ensuring proper system completion and database management.
  • Review and approve commissioning deliverables from contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Promote collaboration across teams to meet project objectives in safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Mentor junior team members and ensure lessons learned are captured for future projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Control Systems Engineering or related discipline with experience in commissioning major projects.
  • Experience with Honeywell ICSS systems (e.g., Experion PKS DCS, Safety Manager SC Controller, FDM, Alarm Management).
  • Hands-on experience with ICS networks, Cybersecurity, and field instrumentation (ESDV, MOV, transmitters).
  • Expertise in system completion databases like ICAPS and knowledge of OPERCOM methodology.
  • Experience managing contractors and interfacing with various teams during commissioning execution phases.
Skills:
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and supervisory experience.

  • Ensure activities comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards.
