Job Title: Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist
We are seeking a Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist to oversee process and piping commissioning activities for a large Expansion Project offshore. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and safe commissioning of process and piping systems, in line with the project scope and schedule.

We are seeking a Commissioning Process and Piping Specialist to oversee process and piping commissioning activities for a large Expansion Project offshore. Reporting to the Head of Commissioning, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and safe commissioning of process and piping systems, in line with the project scope and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process and piping commissioning activities, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements, particularly during SIMOPS and other co-activities.
- Oversee contractor piping activities, ensuring adherence to OPERCOM® methodology and ICAPS© software.
- Monitor vendor activities during commissioning (e.g., SAT, punch list closure, OTP).
- Maximize onshore commissioning activities and minimize offshore mobilization.
- Ensure availability of necessary spare parts and special tools.
- Lead the execution of commissioning tasks at onshore and offshore sites, reviewing and approving commissioning documents and Operational Test Procedures.
- Provide guidance and ensure contractor commissioning plans are compliant with project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Facilitate coordination between teams (e.g., construction, hook-up, safety, quality, engineering) to ensure smooth execution.
- Review and approve system completion and technical commissioning documents from contractors.
- Track and manage commissioning changes and propose mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Mentor trainees and maintain a register of lessons learned.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering or related field, with experience in commissioning large capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of process equipment (e.g., pumps, PSV, vessels, control valves, safety valves).
- Experience with hydrotesting, helium/nitrogen leak testing, and hydraulic oil flushing.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning critical process equipment (e.g., high-pressure vessels, PSVs).
- Experience as an interface focal point for contractors, managing SIMOPS and multi-contractor coordination.
- Familiarity with system completion databases like ICAPS and OPERCOM methodology.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with experience managing EPC contractors and vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of process systems and associated safety valves.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic offshore environment and manage complex tasks.
- Ensure all activities comply with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards.
