Job description

 FPSO HSE Technical Advisor
Location: CMHI Yard, China
Contract Type: 1-Year Renewable Contract 

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated FPSO HSE Technical Advisor to join a fast-track project focused on developing Blocks 20/11, involving subsea wells and a spread-moored FPSO. Reporting to the FPSO HSE Manager, you will work in a multicultural environment to ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of FPSO construction activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Safety Leadership: Ensure all activities comply with company policies to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.
  • HSE Implementation: Collaborate on the implementation of HSE initiatives and provide technical advice to teams.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency response plans, coordinate drills, and oversee training programs.
  • Audits and Investigations: Lead HSE audits, participate in incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Risk Management: Promote the identification and mitigation of HSE risks using ALARP principles.
  • Training and Recruitment: Assist in recruiting and training HSE personnel.
  • Coordination and Reporting: Oversee safety efforts across Hull and Topside teams, provide updates to management, and ensure effective communication between stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: Engineering degree or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH diploma).
  • Experience: 10+ years in HSE roles with a focus on FPSO fabrication, commissioning, and high-risk activities.
  • Certifications: Certified auditor.
  • Skills: Expertise in risk management, confined space, lifting operations, and other high-risk activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and SYNERGI.
  • Cultural Awareness: Familiarity with Asian cultural dynamics, especially Chinese work environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Deliverables:
  • Weekly consolidated reports on HSE activities.
  • HSE risk assessments and lessons learned across Hull and Topside packages.
  • Enhanced safety culture and compliance across the project
