Job description
Great opportunity to work for a major player within the Energy industry in Qatar, as a Head of Topside & Pipeline Execution.
The role will work on a 12 week on / 12 week off rotation, working 6 day weeks whilst on rotation. Attractive Net day rate on offer + accomodation & transport allowances + flights paid for.
The Head of Topside & Pipeline Execution will manage day-to-day operational activities at the Fabrication Site and Subcontractor scope for Topsides & Pipelines fabrication up to load-out and sail away to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assure safety on fabrication construction site and implement the safety observations monitoring and reporting.
- Evaluate, plan and assess all construction, liftings and load-out activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are achieved safely whilst maintaining the quality, budget and schedule.
- Coordinate site activities and provide counselling in regard to technical support required from the contractor in terms of quality, safety, planning and engineering.
- Review, appraise and implement Contractor construction plan to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, industry standards, project specifications and any approved variations. Apprise the performance of the Contractors.
- Ensure Contractor construction and load out documents and other submissions are reviewed in a timely reviewed and approved in accordance with the EPC contract requirements.
- Review all onshore construction changes, including justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing by capturing and communicating lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
- Maintain and update the risk register for the yard.
- Flag critical risks and escalate them to the Yard Division Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 20 years of experience in engineering on major capital projects.
- Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities.
- Application and in-depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.
