Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Marine Integrity Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Applicants must have the full legal rights to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible person for all floating assets on Hull Structure and Turret Integrity:
* Ensure that integrity strategies are implemented offshore.
* Review and ensure adequacy of planned maintenance and assurance routines.
* Follow up on corrective routines.
* Assist offshore with vendor support where required.
* Ensure that the installation integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability of the relevant marine systems is optimised, so that the safety of the asset is maintained, and the production targets can be achieved.
* Develop and maintain hull and turret marine integrity budgets and inspection plans
* With assistance and appropriate input from specialist contractor(s), develop hull structure and turret inspection workpacks/workbooks
* Liaise with Asset planners, offshore teams, inspection/repair contractors and construction team to schedule offshore inspection and repair of hull and turret structures
* Review inspection findings and associated data management (handling by third parties)
* Liaise with the Marine Technical Authority/Lead to agree remedial actions following inspections
* Support ad-hoc marine maintenance scopes, interfacing as necessary between offshore crew and office-based maintenance teams.
* Support the Marine TA/Lead to ensure conformity and compliance to UK legislations, Class and International Standards.
* Liaise with and assist the Company Marine Engineer and Naval Architect as required.
* Review inspection records and develop follow up work as required.
* Produce annual healthcare and summary reports for assigned systems.
* Annual offshore visits to floating assets.
* Review and where necessary develop relevant documentation, procedures and updates to performance standards.
* Follow-up on HSEx and Verification findings on assigned systems.
* Delivery of business and technical reports as required.
* Provide direction to the Marine Integrity Engineer

Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant degree-level engineering qualification(s) such as Naval Architect or Structural Engineer.
* Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
* Working knowledge of SAP.
* Working knowledge of MS Project.
* Relevant experience in similar position in Operator or Service Company organization with focus on floating structures.
* High level of discipline competence, familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.
* Ability to travel offshore.
* Strong, positive safety leadership and team building skills with proven track record in delivering assigned tasks.
* Can develop and sustain collaborative relationships with assets and functional teams to share lessons learned, best practices and to generate improvement opportunities.
* Working knowledge of cost and time management.
* Working knowledge of offshore operating environment.
