Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Operations Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, own and deliver against the annual operating budget (production and opex)
* Manage the day-to-day operations and production activities, setting targets and driving compliance
* Act as focal point for OIM's and morning calls
* Ensure timely production reporting, planning, and forecasting
* Owner of the 1-year asset/field plan, safely managing and optimising production, overseeing the integration of all activities
* Coordinate closely with subsurface, developments and wells teams to ensure operational aspects are fully considered in these areas
* Monitor and report on activity plans, objectives, and key performance indicators internally and with the Operator on non-operated joint ventures, in respect of all operational activity, specifically on: Risk management, health, safety and environment; hydrocarbon production; production efficiency & optimisation; process safety and asset maintenance & integrity; regulator key stakeholder management
* Provide input to stewardship reports as required
* Continually monitor and review business performance, using KPIs; personally, identifying and pursuing areas where performance can be improved and develop, ensuring appropriate, concise, consistent and clear progress reporting
* Drive positive change at all levels within the organisation utilising strong interpersonal skills to champion delivery through others
* Lead and drive asset safety, major accident prevention, and deliver world class HSE performance.
* Demand high standards of service provision and provide clear, balanced feedback to providers.
* Attend and actively participate in Process Safety Review Board meetings to ensure asset integrity improvements
* Act as focal point with OPRED/BEIS for annual permits, inspections, and reviews
* Provide input on key topics for HSE inspections (onshore and offshore) and liaise with regulators as and when required if Asset Manager absence
* Work with HSE Advisor/Manager to ensure regulatory commitments are met and issues responded too
* Develop and own the asset life of field operating cost delivery plan and the underlying strategies on manning, maintenance, logistics, turnarounds etc.
* Support and coordinate development of asset business / life of field plan e.g. assumptions.
* Coordinate and deploy life of field strategies (e.g. with growth function)
* Optimise asset planning, from Medium Term Activity Plans to daily planning (e.g. making trade-offs on offshore capacity).
* Deliver production volumes as per the individual asset, business and work plans within budget as applicable
* Optimise production reliability
* Coordinates with the asset reservoir engineer in preparing monthly operating plans for the operated assets and reporting against them, for sales production volumes & monthly, quarterly and annual roll-up of data
* Monitor, record and trend all production losses vs. plan, complete with immediate, underlying and root cause analysis.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
* Significant demonstrable offshore operations experience in a supervisory role.
* Effective leadership and organisational skills.
