Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Project Controls Manager, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Lead by example in all matters related to HSE & ESG.
* Support the company's HSE & ESG programs through visible compliance with the Life Saving Rules.
* Develop, maintain and manage Project Controls processes and procedures to ensure compliance
* Team management and mentoring to ensure that work scopes are performed in a timely and consistent manner.
* Management of resource allocation for project controls workloads on multiple projects.
* Critically evaluate KPI's and performance measures.
* Analyse key issues to drive mitigation or recovery actions across numerous projects.
* Monitor overall project progress status, achievement against major milestones and analyse performance in relation to the plan.
* Provide regular and comprehensive cost & schedule status reports to Project Management.
* Identify and establish the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of cost, schedule and risk deliverables.
* Support project managers in maintaining effective and timely change management.
* Report project status to management including early warning, critical path and trend analysis.
* Manage the creation and implementation of cost and work breakdown structures.
* Ensure timely control and forecasting against budgets.
* Manage and oversee the project work approval process to ensure accurate cost code allocation, budget set up and expenditure approvals.
* Deliver close-out data to enable knowledge retention (lessons learned, project data compilation)
* Ensure project controls team members deliver their responsibilities competently.
* Provide input as appropriate to stage gate and corporate governance and assurance activity.
* Attend reviews and other meetings as required.
* Adhere to the requirements of the company's Project Guides, and all related procedures.
* The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary matrix team is essential.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Significant Oil & Gas Industry experience, with proven track record in Project Controls/Project Services across major upstream, brownfield modifications and subsea projects.
* Implementation of robust project controls structure, processes and toolsets.
* Performing, monitoring and reviewing planning, cost control and estimating functions.
* Knowledgeable across engineering, procurement and construction execution.
* Significant experience and capability in the project management of contracts, budgeting, controlling costs. planning, scheduling and management of change.
* Experienced in an Operator environment.
* Expert use of MS Office packages (specifically excel).
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Effective organization and planning skills.
* Good inter-personal and leadership skills.
* Good team player but also self-driven and a proven achiever.
* Good communications skills (i.e. report writing and presentation) are essential.
