Location: East Coast, U.S. (Ability to travel on-site up to 25%)

As a Senior Chemical Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced waste treatment systems. You will lead the process design aspects of new projects, perform process modeling, and create and update Pipe and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Your expertise will be critical in optimizing system performance and ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing and end-user operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop P&IDs for existing and new projects.
  • Conduct heat and mass balances, process modeling, and equipment sizing (heat exchangers, separation vessels, pumps, valves, compressors, etc.).
  • Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, review supplier quotes, and lead discussions with OEMs and equipment vendors.
  • Develop technical documentation to support system design and operation.
  • Lead the process engineering side of new projects.
  • Travel on-site to support commissioning, perform line walks, and update as-built P&IDs post-construction.
  • Engage with end-users and project stakeholders to support ongoing operations and new deployments.
Who You AreQualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
  • 8+ years of experience in chemical engineering, preferably in water/wastewater, hydrothermal operations, or a relevant industry.
  • Expertise in pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, and knowledge of pressure vessel codes and standards.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Bricsys, or similar software for 2D drawings and smart P&IDs.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines and project management requirements.
