As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development and optimization of advanced waste treatment systems. You will be responsible for detailed equipment design, process modeling, and system integration. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and performance of cutting-edge environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed equipment design and sizing for heat exchangers, pumps, pressure vessels, valves, and separation vessels.
- Manage and oversee procurement of key system components.
- Develop process models to support design, including heat and mass balances, thermal analysis, and CFD simulations.
- Lead technology development projects, including equipment testing, custom subsystem design, and process interfacing.
- Conduct value engineering to enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to P&ID development, design reviews, and HAZOP studies.
- Develop technical documentation to support system design and operation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- 8+ years of experience as a chemical or mechanical engineer in an industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, separation vessels, hydraulics, and valves.
- Familiarity with pressure vessel codes and standards (a plus).
- Some knowledge of material science and metallurgy preferred.
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment, hydrothermal processes, or high-pressure systems is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience working with valves, instrumentation, and pumps in an industrial or laboratory environment (preferred but not required).
