We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Experience Coordinator on a contract basis to join a leading Energy company on a Mega project. The position is based in Stikine Region of British Columbia with a preference for local Kitimat/Terrace - Stikine region applicants, for essential work coverage.

As they embark on an exciting phase of growth and development, they are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Site Communication Specialist to join their team. This role will be instrumental in shaping their reputation and brand within the region.
Position Overview: As a Site Communication Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe and engaging site tours to a diverse range of stakeholders. This multifaceted role will also involve collaborating closely with construction and operations leadership to support the tactical deployment of communication plans and projects, all aimed at strengthening our company's reputation and brand.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute safe and engaging site tours for a variety of stakeholders, including joint venture participants, First Nations, Government officials, Regulators, and media representatives.
- Cultivate positive relationships with senior leaders to effectively convey our story, especially regarding our inaugural cargo.
- Develop and deploy communications materials that align with our company's values, emphasizing our commitment to safety and successful operations.
- Manage and execute internal and external site events and programs.
- Support internal communication channels at the site, such as Yammer, site town halls, face-to-face interactions, video content, and digital signage.
- Assist with media and social media relations and branding efforts in the community and on-site.
- Conduct photography and videography tasks as needed.
Skills & Requirements:
- A min of 1-3 years of professional experience in communications and event planning.
- A post-secondary degree in Communications or Public Relations.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated, proactive, flexible, and results oriented.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in managing and responding to issues and crises as part of an integrated team.
- Valid driver's license (on-site driving is essential for this role).
Additional Information:
- Occasional travel and availability for evening/weekend work may be required as part of this role.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit) is mandatory.
- Willingness to adhere to company's drug-free and harassment-free work environment, as well as comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Completion of a pre-placement medical assessment for fitness for duty and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs are required.
- Candidates with relevant experience, are not local to the area and are willing to travel, may also be considered for the position.
