Job description
We are seeking a Data Management Development Lead to join our major Oil and Gas client's team and play a pivotal role in managing and advancing data and document management systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead initiatives that support a digital transformation vision while maintaining high standards of compliance and quality.
Key Responsibilities
As the Data Management Development Lead, you will:
- HSE Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations across all activities.
- Digital Project Integration: Structure, recover, correct, and maintain metadata for technical documentation to align with digital transformation objectives.
- iView Management: Oversee the maintenance, development, and synchronization of the advanced viewer application (iView) for accessing extensive technical documentation.
- Metadata Quality Assurance: Develop tools and strategies to ensure the quality and accuracy of metadata produced by contractors and internal teams.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with various teams to streamline document metadata production, ensure compliance with standards, and integrate with multiple systems (e.g., SAP, 3D models).
- Reporting and Analytics: Create dashboards and reporting tools to visualize project statuses and optimize data-driven decision-making.
- Process Automation: Drive the implementation of digital tools to enhance project control and optimize workflows.
- Documentation Standards: Maintain and update document numbering standards and rules while addressing potential impacts on existing systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in industrial project management, with a strong background in document and data control.
- Expertise in digital transformation initiatives, structured data development, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in P6, Power BI, SAP, and advanced project controls techniques such as EVM and KPI development.
- Experience with legacy documentation management, field digitalization, and developing use cases for digital twin solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach to managing complex interfaces.
- Familiarity with technical documentation systems and metadata structures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Work Environment
- Based in Doha, Qatar, with standard office hours (5 days a week).
- Potential for occasional travel to project sites, including offshore and onshore locations.
